The Clean Up Britannia Program
The Ticket System [151099]
Clean Up Britannia is our plan to provide you with a fun way to win prizes while helping us improve your gaming experience.
All ticket items are “blessed” – they cannot be looted or stolen. It is important to note that placing “blessed” items in a container does not “bless” the container. If the container is stolen or looted, you will lose any “blessed” items within.

Clean Up Britannia [290999]
Clean Up Britannia is our plan to provide you with a fun way to win prizes while helping us improve your gaming experience.
A heady wind drifted through the moonlit skeletal trees as I wearily trod the path toward the cottage home of my old friend, Moriale. A few scattered clouds floated o’erhead and an odd stench wafted through the air – a smell I could not quite place.
Moriale waited patiently for me outside his door – an odd sight to be sure as the night was given to chill and Moriale wore only a flimsy robe.
“Hail good friend!” I cried, clasping Moriale strongly about the shoulder in a hardy hug.
Moriale smiled warmly and returned the hug.
“Tis a good eve to see you, my friend,” he replied, “Would you care for a spot of ale?”
I nodded assent and stepped carefully aside as he edged past me to open the door. He inched inside and half-turned, craning his neck to call back to me.
“Put your things anywhere you find a spot!”
Happily, I turned to let my pack drop from my shoulders – for it was a heavy weight to be sure. I heard a colossal thud as with my elbow I knocked over a stack of overflowing backpacks. Turning to judge where they landed, I let out a yelp as I stubbed my toe on a chest filled with plate mail. My good foot hopped into a box of ingots from which it would not be freed, and as I fell, flailing, towards a pile of thousands of fish steaks, I cried loudly,
“What is all this stuff!?”
What is all this stuff? Good question!
Britannia has become packed to overflowing with items, goods, and hoarded loot. To ensure all citizens are safe from stubbed toes and bruised elbows, Lord British has decreed the creation of a two week festival during which you may trade in your un-used items for treasures unearthed deep within the walls of Lord British’s castle.
The back-up times for many of the shards have grown to the point where time-warps are too long and affect the game-play of many UO players. In an effort to reduce these back-up times, it is necessary to reduce the total number of items in the game.
This event marks the first phase of changes leading to implementation of item decay in mid-October.
