- One unit of any edible farming, fishing, or ranching product produces 30 meals. Coffee, Tobacco and Sugar cannot be used for food.

Cost :: $1,000 Requirements :: None Upgrades :: None Income :: Crop Production Options :: Corn – Corn is tolerant of most conditions, and grows quite fast. Each corn farm can usually support about 30 Tropicans. Pineapple – Pineapples need good soil and plenty of rain and decent drainage. Coffee – Coffee tolerates fair soil, but needs a high elevation, plenty of rain, and good drainage. It grows slowly. Sugar – Sugar needs good soil, and ground that stays fairly wet at all times (i.e. swampy) Tobacco – Tobacco needs very good soil, lots of rain and relatively wet soil. It grows slowly. Banana – Banana trees need considerable rain, and relatively higher elevations. Papaya – Papaya trees need good soil, moderate rain, and relatively higher elevations.

Cost :: $750 Requirements :: None Upgrades :: Smoke House $2,000 – Allows the creation of smoked beef, which is worth 20% more than ordinary beef. There is no impact for goat meat. Income :: Livestock Options :: Cattle – Cattle grazing is fairly tolerant of most conditions. Heavy rain lets the grass regrow faster. Goat – Goat herding is fairly tolerant of most conditions. They can handle higher and harsher terrain than cows.

Cost :: $1,500 Requirements :: None Upgrades :: Horticulture Station $1,500 – Causes areas that have been cut down to regenerate at twice the normal speed. Tool Shop $3,000 – Decreases cutting time per tree by 40%. Income :: Logs Options :: Clear cut – Harvests all full grown trees around the camp. Selective harvest – Leaves about half of all full grown trees standing. Better for natural beauty, but workers must travel further to cut trees.

Bauxite – Mine only bauxite. Gold – Mine only gold. All Minerals – Mine anything. This mine will go after any nearby minerals.
