Quests
- Quests are given by NPCs. However, if you find a Quest item or reach a Quest location before receiving the Quest, then the Quest begins automatically.
- If you exit and create a new game, all Quests are set to the point where you last saved.
- The final Quest in each Act must be completed to advance to the next Act.
- Quests are the same for all difficulty levels, and for single-player or multi-player games.
- Note that multi-player games have some differences from single-player games;
- If you join a multi-player game, only those quests that the creator of the game has yet to solve are available.
- When a member of a party completes a quest, that quest is completed for all members of that party, even if they are not in the same area as the party member who completed the quest, though only party members in the same Act share in the completion of the quest.
- If you are not in a party, you will be notified when another player has completed a quest. When another player completes a quest, that quest becomes unavailable to you until you join a new game.
- Act Bosses tend to drop good items the first time you kill them. In multi-player games, the person making the killing blow must not have already completed the quest. If another player kills the Act Boss, you will find yourself having completed the quest without gaining the good item drop.
